To quote They Might Be Giants, "Words fail, buildings tumble, the ground opens wide, light beams down from heaven..."
George Lucus said this about Spiderman 3 - "It's silly. It's a silly movie. There just isn't much there. Once you take it all apart, there's not much story, is there?"
Okay, this from the guy who made the prequels to Star Wars, without doubt three of the worst movies ever made (at least movies over a budget of $6.47). Comparing Anikan Blandwalker and Peter Parker's descents into darkness is like comparing surgery performed by me (without my glasses) with a chainsaw, to one performed by a highly skilled (though morally ambiguous) surgery for hire. There is nothing NOTHING of value in the new prequels. Spidey3 had flaws but come on George your culminating Anikan becoming evil scene (which took place in Ep 3 far and away the best of the whole pile of crap) amounted to this:
Emperor: "Wanna be evil?"
Emperor: "Wanna like destroy stuff and kill people"
Ankin: "Sure, that sounds cool."
Manikin: "I'm gonna go kill some kids now."
Emperor: "Yeah, we're evil and stuff."
This from the guy who made the special additions that sucked all the poignant sentiment out of his own work, and to finally release the DVDs of the original trilogy to have the unmitigatedly audacity to include an x-box demo built into the DVD set is unforgivable.
I know you read my blog George Lucas, and I say to you for shame. For shame on you soooo hard.
