I'm not going to use my school icon for reasons that will be apparent, but this is school related.
I've been doing a lot of reading about and watching what internet movies I can find about the life of Kurt Vonnegut. Something he said really struck with me today. I don't recall the actual quote (weird from me huh?) but the gist was that we never talk about when we are happy. People just complain in life and don't take the time to pull back and say "This is really nice." I've been having kind of a rough time as of late, but today and yesterday at school a lot of kids asked me if my family and friends were okay because they heard about the shootings in Virginia. The kids did the same thing when hurricane Katrina caused so much destruction a few years back. It was so incredably sweet and caring of them. Some of these kids were more upset than me, and were really afraid for my family. I know I bitch about my job, a lot, but there really are times that it is the best in the world.
