Anyone who has visited me in the last few months knows my sliding doors have been degrading and made a horrible noise. So today I fixed my doors. It took a trip to the hardware store to pick up a new hammer. Back to my apartment and took the wheels out. Went to get a different smaller hammer at the hundred yen store, then popped back to the hardware store and picked up the new 30 millimeter wheels. Finally I whooshed back home and hammered the new wheels into both my main sliding doors. The door that I had to partially prop up with the pen cap, now sits plum. My main door slides incredibly smoothly and whisper silent. Delicious! I am really tempted to do my closet doors as well, simply because they are a little loud and clunky. The wheels are old and were a decroded piece of crap.
