I have come to a startling conclusion: my apartment is a closed system. I know this because in the last few days the entropy level in my room has been rising disproportionally to the entropy of the earth/sun system - the system that my room was ONCE a part of. The Second Law predicts as much. In the last few days my bed has sprung a leak, clutter now rules, my cable modem turns on and off randomly, and today my light has went spastic. So I am sitting here in the dark, because one can only take so much florescent strobe. I can only conclude that entropy is on the rise and I must, for my own sake, somehow reconnect my apartment to the greater system, or I will be washed away by the power of The Three Laws of Thermodynamics: I can’t win, I can’t break even, I can’t even leave the game.
