4th of July - A Recovering Physicist's Apology

About 4th of July

Previous Entry 4th of July Jul. 5th, 2006 @ 06:44 pm Next Entry
For reasons I do not completely understand, the rest of the world does not celebrate the Fourth of July! But(!) that did not stop Dan, Brian, Canadian Heat (50% American), and me from celebrating our nation’s birth! Conspicuously absent were Chris and Anna (both from England).

We had a barbecue by going to McDonald’s. We all had a double burger with bacon and an egg with some crazy delicious sauce. It was really yummy. We went to the park with our McD’s, and Brian bought a (and I kid you not) bucket of fireworks. You can buy fireworks BY THE BUCKET in this country, and set them off (we think). We are not sure if you can, but we did anyway. In our defense other people were doing it too, and I have seen tons of people doing it. We set them off in the cement park and were safe about it.

Check out these pictures. USA! USA!
