Breaking Quarantine & Back to Work - A Recovering Physicist's Apology

About Breaking Quarantine & Back to Work

I was suppose to stay in my home for 3-5 days. On day 3 I was out of supplies and simply had to break quarantine and get more to eat. I took a shower to prepare myself for leaving my comfortable apartment. For the first time in two days, I put on street clothes and left my house. Unfortunately I had cut myself while shaving, I did not really realize how badly until later. I was particularly self-conscious about the fact that I was a walking plague cloud, so I kept my coat zipped all the way up and my head down. My mouth was covered nicely by my coat. I felt like I was doing my part to keep Daito healthy. I went to the grocery store and bought some meat because I realized I could make chili. I then stopped at the bento shop and picked up lunch. When I went home I was very tired. I took of my coat and found that the small cut on my lip from shaving had continued to bleed and also bled against my coat. This caused the blood to smear all around my face. From about my nose down my face was pretty much all gore. It looked like I had eaten a gazelle or been hunting with the Vice President. I washed my face and got back into pajamas. That would be the last time I wore street clothes for another two days.

I am back to work, and although I thought it would be great and rewarding, it turns out it is hard and I am exhausted. I am feeling decent, but I can’t seem to get rid of my horrible cough. I woke up at 5:30, randomly, and could not get back to sleep. I just need to take it easy this week until I am back up to snuff. I will probably fade out of school when my classes are done for the day. I have various chores to complete and I would like to make a run into the city but those can wait for another day.
